Yes and no. Back when I still smoked, if I lost my lighter I would indeed light a smoke off a stove burner. Thing is, you don't need to bend your face down there and inhale. If the burner is hot enough, you can touch the end of the cigarette to it, then lift it to your lips and inhale. It'll still be hot enough that your breath will catch the heat and light it up, even if it's off the burner at that exact moment.

Ever nail a running kid in the back of the head with a thrown can of beans?

(re: the thrown can -- I've done it.)

They do if the concrete was made from poo, as cockroaches are coprophageous.

Ever pee in something other than a toilet even when you didn't have to?

I assume you mean in a place other than where a fire ought to be caused? No. But I used to live in a house where the only heat was by way of a wood burning stove, so have I done so in the proper way, yes.

Ever committed a felony (or the British equivalent of same, which I don't know what that would be called) and gotten away with it? (As in, not been so much as suspected). Obviously I don't mean that you should tell us what you did or any other details. Just a yes or no will suffice, don't want you to incriminate yourself if it's a yes.

As a freelance writer who uses it for work and then, once "off work", uses it for entertainment... lemme do the math here... um... Way Too Many. Generally, though, the first hour after I get up is wake up, shower, get dressed, 45 minute walk, breakfast and coffee, then to work. First hour "off work" is a second 45 minute walk, then leisure time.

How did your longest romantic relationship end?

Ex fiancee. Didn't know it for the longest time but it turned out she was bipolar. Not just "a crazy bitch" but actually diagnosed, legitimately bipolar. It was at the intersection of finding that out by way of her going off her meds (and, predictably, off her nut) and of finding out she'd been cheating on me with some guy that we mutually (if not amicably) decided that it was time for her to go her own way. Later she went back on her meds and wanted to rekindle things. Unfortunately, she let it slip that she had a new boyfriend and therefore would have been cheating on him with me. Nope. Had to pass on that.

Same question. (Hey, it's a good one!)

Already dundiddit, new question:

How did your shortest relationship end? Actual relationship, not just one night stand or one date deal.

Not excessively and not for long. I was very surprised when Harry Anderson passed on. I was hit a bit harder by the passing of Stan Lee, but you did say 'actor' and I'm not sure if his dozen or so cameos really count.

When you get the flu, do you go out and stock up on OTC flu meds, go full on prescription medications, or do you just soldier through it with soup and juice?

Never. And the odds of such happening are so low that I don't even bother. As an older acquaintance has said (though I'm sure it's a widespread axiom), "The lottery is a tax on being bad at maths."

I think different colored lights do to some degree but as far dressing, green on St. Pat's is as far as I go.

I bought a shoe box with 75 , 1800's picture portraits of men , women children of the era , mostly posing in sitting positions. I paid 30 dollars ... each photo was easily worth between 4- 8 dollars. I bought some fairly inexpensive black family portrait frames with four spots for photos each. I made about eight , kept two and gave the rest to my family that asked. The remainder of loose photos about 45 or so I sold to a guy for 70 dollars. I could have made a lot more but timing is everything.

I'll assume same question? I picked up a samurai sword at a garage sale when I was 17. $20. Had it appraised and it was an actual samurai sword from the early 1800s. Didn't want to sell it 'cause it was cool as hell to own one. It ended up being stolen from me.

Where is the strangest place you ever slept?
