I love animals but I have a phobia of animal hair so I don't have any pets but my parents have two shitzus that don't shed and I'd get one too but I live right on the highway so I'm afraid they would get lose and get ran over. Yes I know I could build a fence but still when some of my drunk friends come over someone might leave a gate open and my dog get run over I can't handle it I'd rather just be alone than risk losing a dog that I'm attached to.

Why not train them not to run out ? My dog has to sit in the hallway when the door Is opened, and he ain’t allowed to move unless I say so. Sit and stay, once you master that they should be safe.
Yea I could but I wonder if smaller dogs like shitzus would be smart enough to learn that? My parents two shitzus don't listen very well. I like smaller dogs better than bigger ones.

Don’t matter what size they are, you can train any dog really, just have to be consistent, little dogs always get away with far too much cos it’s easy to spoil them.

Completely and utterly untrue. Cats are wary of strangers. Dogs can be overly friendly/social. Its all in how you train them. You cant train a cat to do a fucking thing. Because they're like horses, very intuitive, but stupid. Even comparing a cat to a good dog is retarded.

I wonder how much one of those pussys cost? I bet over a grand, easy.
The one I found for daughter was a near dead flea ridden stray kitten on the street who slept on my chest until the next morning when we went to Bienville Animal Hospital. They fixed it up with a couple of baths, steroids, and antibiotics. It lived a long, lazy life and got daughter interested in animal breeding. When she visited us last year and met our cat she immediately said "Norwegian forest cat!" and she was right.
