Great news! At least one station casino will be reopening its buffet on 9/8. It is the weakest and crappiest one but given that Station casinos had said they would never reopening its buffets this is progress. Locals have been boycotting station casinos saying they will not go to any of their casinos until the company brings back their casinos. After a year and a half of trying to wait the local boycott out they are now throwing in the towel and giving customers what they want.

Buffets are money losers for casino companies so naturally the companies don't want to offer them, however, customers really love buffets and will actively boycott casinos which do not offer them. Something station casinos has had to learn the hard way.

For the life of me, I cant see how the buffet at Paris loses money. I paid $60 or $70 to get in, the food was mediocre, and because of that, I didnt eat a whole lot. The only buffet worse than it was the one at the Imperial Palace. I've been told Belagio and Caesars buffets are great but I'm a bit gun shy when there's so many other places I can go and be assured a great meal.....like In-N-Out Burger.

I don't know why anyone would pay $70 for the buffet at Paris because for $59.95 you can get the "Buffet or buffets" pass which allows you to eat as many times as you want at all seven Ceasars properties for 24 hours. You do have to pay an up charge if you want to go to the Bacchanal though.

Speaking of great values the Lobster and Seafood buffet at The Silverton for $20 remains an outstanding value. Far better than $70 at The Paris.

Obese types love these buffets.

Skinny people love buffets too. They represent great value and a lot of choices. Sure, the food isn't as good as a high end restaurant but a great buffet is still very competitive especially if you remember they will cook many things to order if you ask them to.

Continuing the theme of great deals and values in Las Vegas. I never knew about The Stage Door. I will have to check them out next time I am in town.

As I have mentioned before Ellis Island remains the king of great tasting yet very affordable cheap eats in Vegas. Their house made cheese cake is also amazingly good.

$6.99 Steak and Egg breakfast with your choice of two sides.
$7.99 Top Sirloin Steak special with green beans, your choice of potato (baked or mashed or French fries) or rice pealof, soup or salad, and a bread roll with butter. It is a large 12 oz cut.
$14.99 16 oz "King's cut" of prime rib with all sorts of sides.
Also $16.99 is a giant whole rack of baby back ribs slow smoked in their smoker along with half a smoked chicken. Comes with the your choice of three sides, bread, plus soup or salad. For $14 you can opt for a half rack of ribs and half a smoked chicken.
$2.50 always buys you a pint of one of their house brewed beers.

Don't forget The Fremont Casino downtown on Fremont Street. $9 Prime Rib Dinner, $12 Lobster Dinner, $2 margaritas ($3 if you want a double shot), and $0.99 Shrimp Cocktails.

I have posted about The Silverton before but the place really is a bargain. Sure, it is not gourmet like the Baccanal buffet but it is only $21 with the promotional coupon for all you can eat lobster, crab, prime rib, a huge selection of seafood and sides. Oh, they also have all you can drink beer and wine included at that price.

That is a hell of a bargain.

They redid the South Point Friday Seafood buffet and while the lobster is gone it is still a decent deal at $39.95 including all you can eat crab legs, prime rib, and beef ribs.

Still, it is kid of sad they doubled the price and dropped the lobster. On the upside they did add Stone Crab claws. Those things are usually $50 a pound!

I couldn’t think of anything worse than catching up with a group of so-called friends in a foreign country, with PI fiendishism being such a priority. This place needs a lot more improvement before I ever would want to hang out. As far as I’m concerned, this thread is obsolete.

I think I has been 10-15 years since I went to the Wynn buffet (if I am going high enough then the Baccanhal is the buffet to beat), I remember it was good, but the price seemed high for what you got. Still, it seems they redid the buffet to give it more options including a good amount of meat and seafood options. Back then it was around $80 for the dinner buffet and now it seems they are going for a $40 per person price point. That seems more reasonable.

Sadly, the lobster, caviar, and exotic seafood is now gone due to the lower price point but it does come with all you can drink beer and wine. So not a bad option if you are at that part of the strip.

We're planning a trip to vegas this summer and a good buffet is on the list of things to do. I'm thinking either The Wynn, Bellagio, or Caesars.

Ceasar's Baccanhal buffet is a real treat.

It seems doubtful.

On the other hand this video does show some kid friendly places in Vegas.

It got canceled in 2021 for obvious reasons. Folks are still mulling a 2022 trip but no one seems to be able to make the dates work.

My family and I will be in Vegas this coming Friday through Sunday.

Just booked two rooms at the Luxor for this weekend. It is kind of a bad location at the south end of the strip but the price was to good to pass up and we got adjoined rooms for the kids. Ideas for what to see and do would be appreciated.
