I always wanted to do the helicopter ride over Grand Canyon. You can try the Venetian hotel and go on the Gondola ride if you never did something like that. I stay at the bellagio and they have the coolest fountain shows. Oh and I want to go to the Mob museum there lol

I havent been there in maybe 20 years, but the helo ride over Vegas was fun just to help me get my bearings. That was before GPS navigation, LOL. From Vegas we rented a car and drove up to the Grand Canyon and stayed a night or 2 there, and also did the helo ride at the Canyon. Not to be missed. If we'd had more time we would have done the donkey thing down to the bottom, too.

Stay away from the Paris Buffet. 2nd worst i've ever had.

Paris is ok for a room on the strip but all the food there is over priced plus if you gamble you will hardly get any freebies.

This is The Buffet Guy (a German immigrant living in Vegas) pick for the top 5 off the strip casino buffets in and around Las Vegas. I noticed Hempstead the Silverton probably because of the price ($40) but when you sign up for their player's club card they give you a 50% off coupon. That means you get their all you can eat lobster, prime rib, and seafood buffet for just $20.

When we took my parents to Vegas, this was one of the things I made them agree to, to let me buy them dinner there. Dinner for the 4 of us was a bit over $600 but that was because of drinks and caviar. The average price for 2 is about $230 but its a great experience, especially if dinner is served around sundown.

I'll supply hotdogs, Doritos, and cheap whiskey out of a plastic jug. We will howl at the moon as the embers from the bonfire rise to the tree tops. Just don't gamble there as Ceasars Group has terrible odds and rules for all of their table games and even their slots are stingy. The vibe is aimed towards 20 somethings often college kids who are sleeping ten to a room in order to make the hotels cheap. The location is good though near the Ballagio and the Cosmopolitan. Oh, and you can walk out to the miracle mile shopping mall.
