I’ve been sailing Misa all over the SF bay. Even up to Benicia and Vallejo. Spending some time with GF. Still looking for a new place to hang my hat. Hope to spend more time on Misa before I go back
I sail her all the time soloNice and thinking how many people does it take to sail your boat ?

It's gonna be a scorcher. Stay cool!Gonna spend 4 or 5 days on my boat. The weather is going to be close to the 100s. Really unusual for the SF bay. Just waiting for the tide to fill in a bit and I’m gone. I am grateful and lucky to be doing this. It don’t come easy.
I've been thinking of buying some property in Northern California @Lily & @Seamajor .Gorgeous!
Such lovely images. I'm so happy you're enjoying your time in the Bay Area. We are really lucky to be so blessed.
That's a remote area, hundreds of miles from Int'l Airports, Hospitals and Interstate Hwys etcIt's not that developed. Not a lot of jobs and infrastructure, that's why.
If you want to be in the redwoods, you mostly want to be coastal. That's typically pricey. Where did you identify property for $50k? Is that just land?
Here's an example...of many or quite a few in the area:It's not that developed. Not a lot of jobs and infrastructure, that's why.

Anything is more affordable than Vancouver...except maybe San Francisco..I figured it was just some land. You have to pay to build a house or to have a manufactured home put on it. Permits, etc. Still might be more affordable than Vancouver.
7400 sq ft is a small lot too.I figured it was just some land. You have to pay to build a house or to have a manufactured home put on it. Permits, etc. Still might be more affordable than Vancouver.

Is it true there is no sales tax in Oregon @Admin. ?That's a remote area, hundreds of miles from Int'l Airports, Hospitals and Interstate Hwys etc
Yes it is. Vancouver Washington for years has been considered a tax shelter for people that work in the Portland Metro Area, due to Washington State having a lower property tax rate, and since Oregon has no Sales Tax those same people would drive back over the bridge into Oregon to buy groceries and appliances and furniture etc, there is a large shopping mall on the oregon side that primarily serves SW Washington Residents....with the slow death of malls, it's not as busy as it once was though. Is it true there is no sales tax in Oregon @Admin. ?
ar things much cheaper there?
If so do you get a lot of shoppers from neighboring states like California & Washington state coming in for weekend shopping?
Joe, check out Sonoma county. Lots of it is expensive, but there are pockets that are reasonable. I’m speaking of Boyes Springs and the hwy 12 corridor to Santa Rosa. It’s smack dab in the wine country too. I might pull the trigger on a property I’m looking at before I go back to CR, on the 13th. $550,000 for a 3 br, 2 bath home, in a nice neighborhood. Some Realtors feel prices are dropping in the golden state.I've been thinking of buying some property in Northern California @Lily & @Seamajor .
Not San Francisco or the Bay Area.
Around the Redwoods area.
It's not very far from Vancouver. A person can get there in 1/2 a day.
Any recommended towns in that area?
Why is Northern Cal north of San Francisco near the Oregon border so inexpensive?
I've seen lots or properties there for less than $50,000.
Old Station - Fall River and ( highway 289 and 44 juntion) good luck getting fire Ins - Hat Creek - Pit River - - - - - - -Joe, check out Sonoma county.
