NY strip in my opinion is the best cut of steak. Especially old school, Weber grilled kingsford charcoal made.

Worked in steak houses and pretty much know they grill it for marks then broil the fuck out of it without letting it rest before throwing it on a plate and serving. And god forbid you wanted it any temp higher then med rare.
