Amazon. All from there. Basically, the pre-built configuration is:

Core i7 CPU
16Gb RAM
120Gb SSD
1Tb Storage HDD
GeForce GTX 1070 GPU w/ 8Gb VRAM
Liquid cooling.
PSU wattage not listed.

Upgrades will consist of:

32Gb RAM
2Tb SSD
8Tb Storage HDD
GTX Titan GPU w/ 12Gb VRAM
Higher wattage PSU if necessary to accommodate GPU upgrade

The system as delivered will do me for a good while, though, since I spent the last decade with Mac systems and didn't mind missing out on some titles that weren't ported to OS X (then macOS). Starting to mind it.

And then for the peripherals. Basically, all Razer.

Blackwidow (whatever the top model of that keyboard is)
Deathadder Elite
Man O' War headset
Wolverine (for racing games)

Games library will be Steam.

I'm due for a new pc. Can someone recommend something cheap but decent enough to at least run Sims 4?

Finally. FUCKING FINALLY.

The publisher finally just paid two past due invoices. Round about $3,000.

New system arriving Saturday:

HP Omen 880-130
Liquid cooling
Intel Core i7-8700K CPU
16GB of RAM #2400MHz
512GB SSD + 2TB HDD
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB GPU

mated to an HP VH240a 23.8" 1080p display.

Yup, there's still stuff that's gonna get upgraded sooner rather than later. 16GB of RAM will be swapped out for 32, and the display will get replaced (not in the near future but eventually) with a Predator G-SYNC compatible model.

That 1080 Ti crushes everything you throw at it. Looks like a boss build to me, especially with the upgrade in RAM. Are you increasing the speed from 2400MHz or keeping it the same?

Probably keep it the same just to make 100% sure of compatibility. What I read is, the Omen has a proprietary mobo, so I don't want to throw money at chances.
