Thats what's throwing me off. He must've had it for a while and just recently diagnosed with it to only live a few weeks after being diagnosed. That's whats sad. He didn't have a chance to say proper goodbyes or get his affairs in order.....such a short time. :(

We dont expect cancer, and we dont get any routine tests. So sometimes by the time we notice a problem it's too late.

Scary....but real. Pancreatic cancer is a ruthless killer, as well. I think that took Patrick Swayze very quickly.

I'm also a recovering heroin addict.

Death is something I've seen so much of. I've already been through the mortality realization and those emotions. Ive had a handful of existential crisises.

I'm only 40, but I've long come to terms with my future status as a corpse.

However I doubt I'll be left the fuck alone to go through the active stages of death in peace. I have 3 daughters and they are very particular. They wont let me lay in my own shit. They will bother the CNA and nurse and not relax until I've been rolled and washed and wound up as they cluck like hens over my stiffening dying body.

So please dont tease me with a good time.

I'd bet anything that I'm gonna die doing something really, really stupid.....but clearly I wouldnt be here to collect lol
