'Cept, the Right Wing Violence happened when the Congress was in session, destroying one of the most important buildings in the US. A Capitol policeman died.
Its like a gang of thieves holding up a 7/11 grocery store versus the main branch of CitiBank and it's televised on national TV .
Who's gonna get more attention & more likely to have the FBI looking for them FIRST?
So the choice of target matters.

Same time reading up on US history, Congress was never intended to be stuffed full of Harvard Law School graduates.
It was supposed to be a people's assembly.The original congressmen were tailors, cobblers and farmers.
Some of America's first presidents came from poor backgrounds and weren't terribly well educated.
ie - Andrew Johnson was a tailor by trade grew up dirtt poor, had a grade school education and yet became President of the United States:
...but those days are long gone.
And so will ordinary citizens being allowed to assemble outside of the Capitol building.
They'll probably be constructing a huge wall to keep the masses out from now on.
I imagine the Capitol Building will resemble a huge armed camp in the near future.

But Trump should've had an alternative to Twitter going from Day 1.
That was shortsidghtedness on his part.
So when the gatekeepers of information, Big Tech, decided to shut the tap off, Trump was SOL, Lokmeer!
IMHO, the best hope of the alt-right is to lobby for the breakup of Big Tech on the grounds of breaking antitrust laws and collusion. It's akin to fighting a war with another country, only they have all the oil and you don't got none, Lokmeer.
Creating your own social networks are a start, but getting the Trust busters to bring down the monnopoly of Big Tech & having them regulated should be your first step.
