Time to Break Up Big Tech?

If enough people began to scream and make noise about it, could it be done?

Over 100 years ago, when Standard Oil had a monopoly on the Oil Industry, the US government stepped and split them up.

The latest incident with the Big Tech companies shutting down Parler demonstrated a blatant abuse of power.

So perhaps it should be their turn.

Anyways, just a thought.

I'm not touching any of these shitty alternatives like Gab.com or discord clones because nobody is going to be using them in a year. Back in the day everyone just used the same thing, MSN, yahoo and skype. Now you have to subscribe to 40 different websites just to talk to your friends.

Decentralization is cool I guess but every time someone tells me to make an account or download this new chat software my eyes glaze over.
