Good question. Last I talked to him, he was doing really well health-wise. Lost touch for a few years and I e-mailed him and he's already gone, it's just nuts.

Yea, that was sad too. He lived fast and hard too, so I've heard. I can only speculate. Now Thomas was a known drinker and wrote about it beautifully. Funny I was thinking about him because I was preparing for the birthday of Anthony Bourdain. Another loss for us to question life once again... but at least he lived until his 60's.... and thanks. Just, wow. I'm still processing.
