These types of things are worrisome. I feel helpless when I consider the implications.

However, this particular guy throws everything, including the kitchen sink, into his presentation. For example, we live better now than even the wealthiest of people did 200 years ago. So, if society collapses. what does that mean, exactly?

Poorer? Until when? Do we simply start over? Lots of thoughts.

There are some variables that were not considered in his predictions

People are just too stupid to realize when change is required.

"AI will make us more productive!! Oh no!!!!"

We vote on decision-makers based on.....their public speaking skills.

"We need more tax-payers to fund the government pensions!!! Increase the population!!!!"

Honestly, few people here are equipped to understand the real problems, much less discuss them.

Actually I kinda get the same feeling too @jack

If the World's Health is measured in available Consumer Software titles, it doesn't look good, eh?

All the good stuff is goin subscriber only & ya can't get permanent software anymore.

I know that's an overly simplistic comparison, but it seems to be a barometer of everything we used to take for granted either isn't free or available now. Cuz the Elites no longer want us to own too much, have access to too much information or control over our lives.

Anything good is gettin' taken away with us along with the our quality of life.

So better enjoy what's left of anything good I suppose.

In that regard I am glad I'm a little older.

I've had an interesting, rewarding and enjoyable life, with many firsts.

If the world is going to end I'm glad I had this much of a good life. And right now, I'm into a lot of cool stuff which interests me.
