Hey, MAGAts, remember how you excused Kyle for MURDERING people who had criminal records?

So, how do you square that with this, @wizer @Cookie Monster and the rest of you tools:

I don't agree with Trumps decision to pardon the rioters. I don't agree with Trumps anti-environmental policies. I think Donald Trump is a controlling power hungry narcissistic imbecile.

That much said he's still the better choice for president.

They don't square at all. When they do it it's patriotic, everyone else is either "BLM" or "Antifa"

You sounded reasonable for 3 sentences, then in one sentence you shot your entire reputation to shit.

Both what are acceptable? Try making sense now and then, would you?
Well, let's have a real deep think -- you may need to rest and recover from the strain of that afterward.

In reference to blaming all pardoned J6ers for the terminally zany behavior of a few of them, you said:

LotusBud said:
Not at all the same as blaming all undocumented immigrants when one undocumented person commits a crime, is it?

To which I replied:

The Question said:
Either both are acceptable or neither is. If you want to pick cherries, we'll find you an orchard and put you to work.

Was that simple enough, or do I need to break out the crayons and do it in diagram form for you?

I thought American voters best options were either elect Harris with a Republican Congress or else Trump with a Democratic Congress @wizer

However as it stands now, you guys have given absolute power to a party who believes in nothing but absolute power.
You gave the whole store away to the Republicans.

As you point out, even if you don't entirely agree with Trump's policies, you get the whole meal whether you agree with any of it or not.

It's not my country, but I would have tried to limit the power of Harris or Trump by voting for a mixed slate.
If Republicans feared Harris' spending plans so much, a GOP Congress would have held her in check anyways so she couldn't get any spending bills passed.

Both WHAT are acceptable? Good god, man. Instead of being a droning pedant, try to answer the actual question.

Anyone who understands Criminology will know, that release has dis-orientating effects and therefor re-offending happens.

if you have 3 out of 1000 that is a 0.3% re-offending rate.

Now do illegal immigrants, blacks and Hispanics.:LOL3:

Pretty sure they are about 20% or more.

At about 1/100th the rate suggests they are well disciplined law abiding citizens.

Crayons it is.

If broad generalizations against J6ers are acceptable, then broad generalizations against illegal aliens are acceptable.

If broad generalizations against illegal aliens are not acceptable, then broad generalizations against the J6ers are also not acceptable.

Was that simple enough for you to follow?

Nothing you said in this post is remotely accurate. You don't get to make those kind of comparisons and hold them up as "facts"

Nope. IMO, only facts are acceptable, on both sides. Is that simple enough for you to follow, or are you too fucking myopic to get the POINT of my thread.

It's not a comparison; it's a principle. Broad generalizations of groups is either okay or it isn't, regardless of the group being generalized.
You can make a broad generalization of one group. It doesn't set a predicate as a result for all groups.

That's classic whataboutism on your part, then

I think you misspelled 'context'. Broadly generalizing groups, in principle, is either right or wrong. Whether it's right or wrong is based on the principle, not on which group is being generalized.

Let me see if I can clarify my position by referring to one of the effects of broad generalization: Racial bigotry.

Would you say that racial bigotry is acceptable against any particular race of people?

I could be wrong, but I don't believe you would; nor do I believe you'd think very highly of anyone who does.

If someone were to say to you, "Racial bigotry against black people is vile! Oh, but racial bigotry against asians is perfectly fine."

I think we'd both scoff; such a person doesn't really have any problem with racial bigotry. Such a person is unprincipled.

Right?

The root of racial bigotry is broad generalization of groups, though racial bigotry isn't the only expression of it.

It's always wrong. Doesn't matter who's doing it, doesn't matter who it's being done to. It's always wrong.

I have no idea what you meant there, but systemic institutionalized racism has been endemic in our government and society for many moons. It plays out in different ways against different groups but it's still institutionalized racism.

A core tenet of being American.

Not saying it doesn't. I'm saying it's wrong. As in ethically wrong, not 'factually incorrect'.
