I appreciate irony as long as I'm not it's victim.

42 large for something that smells like it came out from my undies after walking around in this heat for an hour?

Good point.
As a rule perishables are very risky investments, buys, unles the whole purpose is to consume them right away.

Wines can be lucrative investments, but they require proper storage facilities to maintain a constant temperature, etc.

I've thought about buying expensive wines, but the problem is where to store them.

Then there's the problem of liquor licensing and being able to re-sell them later on.

Risky purchase

Thats the equivalent buying an expensive ice sculpture hoping it won’t melt or the refrigerator housing it wont malfunction @Alticus
Depends on who bought it. If it's a Michelin restaurant, the buyer will probably profit handsomely.
