It's a long podcast, but it's worth listening to and thinking about what Ezra did with his response to Charlie Kirk's assassination. They hash it out and I got several things out of this...which I'm happy to discuss after other folks have watched and posted their thoughts, if any.

I don't want to spend an hour and 12 minutes on this.

Post a synopsis or something.

These two are both too thoughtful for any MAGAts to ever listen to five minutes of their conversation.

I detest Hillary Clinton because I think she is a huge corporate whore, BUT, her "basket of deplorables" bit is completely true. Maybe she shouldn't have said it, but it is NOTHING in comparison to the insults Trump throws out every single day and his followers have absolutely no problem with them.

I think their belief is that as a politician you just shouldn't do that. It goes without saying that Big Orange doesn't care. I think the American people are waking up.

Trump has lost most of the Latinos he managed to pick up.

What was more interesting to me was listening to what I would call Kkein's tone of appeasement...oh what are we going to do to gain power again. Coates has a more historical and practical approach in that he acknowledges that in our history, hate ebbs and flows, but we ultimately move forward.

I think Klein is panicking because this shit is really bad. I get that, but I, like Coates don't feel hopeless. We've been here before.

Yeah. Coates is generally very practical and sees all the evil clerly, but somehow remains optimistic. I really don't, but I am not an appeaser like Kleain, either. I still firmly believe the US needs to open up to mulitple parties and building coalitions. This two-party nonsense is death to democracy, imo, along with the ridiculous amounts of money spent on campaigns and taken from corporate interests.
