A rumor that has been circulating for decades, is that David's Dad was CIA,(and Floyd may been CIA, but I don't think that is public knowledge just speculation based on his Military background) and he was supposed to be part of the CIA's plot to "Turn On" the Hippies by distributing LSD to the hippy kids, so they could could have their Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll, and not bother the adults with anti-war and civil rights for the blacks nonsense
