The BPA Manages the Bonneville Power Administration, it receives no tax dollars it is not part of the federal budget, it is self sustaining by selling the power it generates from the Columbia River. The BPA was ordered to fire engineers and scientists, just because silly hacks like Ragey can feel good about themselves seeing the power grid of the PNW jeopardized.

Do you know how many people are required to operate the BPA?

The firing of taxpayer parasites makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Think I'll go have an egg and bacon sandwich for lunch.

Oh look! A double poast from our favorite forum pansy.

The egg sandwich was awesome, and the bacon (locally sourced, of course) was perfectly cured.

I feel sorry for all those out-of-work federal parasites who won't be able to afford eggs and bacon until they can find actual, real jobs in the private sector.

Shockingly, it turns out that empowering the richest human being on the planet to maliciously and gratuitously heap additional misery on that planet’s most poor, hungry, and desperate people might—just might—pose a political problem to President Donald Trump.

The directive ordering USAID employees to refrain from discussing this with the press represents an unnerving turn in this saga, given how ugly and blatant it is. “This is basically telling USAID personnel not to tell the truth about what they have seen,” Jeremy Konyndyk, a former senior USAID official, adding that this functionally commands USAID staff to “get in line with the propaganda narrative.”

In this context, let’s also recall that the USAID inspector general

It’s hard to adequately capture the absurdity and malevolence on display here. The whole function of I.G.s is to independently document waste, inefficiency, and corruption inside government. That’s what the USAID I.G. did in documenting the mismanagement that put huge stores of taxpayer-purchased food at risk of going to waste. This is exactly what I.G.s are supposed to do. But apparently because it made Trump and Musk look bad, the I.G. got the ax.

Democrats love to talk pretty about kicking their addiction to profligate spending. But that pretty talk turns into some seriously ugly screaming the second they think anybody is going to put that principle into practice.

Weren’t we just talking about Musk fucking over our regional power grid?

From our local electricity utility

“The Bonneville transmission line supplying power to our entire northern system is down, causing a power outage for all customers from Lincoln Beach to Washburne State Park, just before Florence.

Customers beyond Florence are experiencing outages too but that is not due to the BPA line loss.

If we receive any updates from BPA, we will pass them along. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

Yeah power grids don’t need no stinking engineers

I guess as long as they’re owning the libs, it’s all good. Until it impacts them, of course.
You overestimate the reliance of your fellow Americans on the government.

If 90% of the government dropped dead tomorrow, I probably wouldn't notice until sometime next year.

You're going to notice the effects of this mass firing. It's a shame you're too hate-filled to think for even two seconds about all the many cause/effects outcomes that will come from this one hateful act.
