How would you characterize the two?
Personally, I see NeoConservatavism as Conservativism without the Soul.
That while Conservativism is about self-sacrifice, NeoConservativism promotes and upholds selfish interests.
While I think there are and have been many good conservatives in the past, it seems today's conservative parties and political movements have been taken over by the latter.
It's noticeable that NeoCons frequently describe their self worth by how much money they have in the bank. Or how much their house is worth. So it comes off sounding like "I've got more than you! So therefore I'm better than you!"
"Greed is Good/Great" seems to be their mantra.
Anyways, it's just a thought.
