Fixed a drain in the basement

Folks, the PVC that drains water from our furnace did not reach the drain in our floor, so every once in a while, it would spew water all over the basement floor which is NO BUENO.

I just cut back the PVC and put a 90 degree elbow on it, then ran a 13 inch section to the drain. took about 10ish minutes and only ONE trip to home depot.

Pro Tip: After cutting PVC, make sure that your cut end is square and that you sand it to remove the burs. These burs can prevent you from getting a tight fit.

You should put another elbow at the very end to point the tube straight down...if the water comes with any force right now, it may overshoot the drain hole.

From the back flow preventer?
an elbow down would make it even more better

I thought about it, that won't be a problem though. There isn't enough water pressure. It drains out like an 80 year old man taking a piss in the warehouse bathroom at Goodwill.
