Not the brightest bulb in the pack.

I feel sorry for him tho that it was economic circumstances led him to throw his life away like that. He may have just been a decent guy who was starving so he did it out of desperation. The report said he was homeless and was retrieving those discs for money.

I didn't watch the whole thing. Looks like God saved him from his homeless problem though.

Homeless people won't starve in Canada or the US though. He just wanted money for drugs...

Oh but they do.

Maybe not Canada but the US this is a possibility. I gave food to some beggars in Florida once & they were grateful. They didn't ask me for drugs. They were starving and they needed a meal.

And that, folks, is the truth. Tons of free food every where for the homeless but they need cash for liquor and/or drugs.

Over here they'll bother and hassle you in the drive-thrus, begging for a "McChicken" or "Double Cheeseburger" the cheapest ones in McD's. And they'll take that burger straight to the crack dealer for a pebble.

Rarely see that here. A tad more petty theft tho.

I don't mind help someone with a few bucks.

Over here, money goes exclusively to the drug dealers after you hand it out to beggars

You don't even see drunks anymore, they've all become crackheads

The 400 reals they receive as welfare every month is used to binge for a couple days, really dangerous to go to certain areas during the last ten days of the month

They gather in squares and other areas closer to the places where they sell drugs and the "good samaritans" go there everyday to feed them.

So they never really need money to eat.

The scourge of drugs is immeasurable in the amount of loss, suffering, and societal upheaval. I'm glad someone feeds them.

And Brazil being so close to where all this coke is produced doesn't help much

Homeless people in the US suffer endless indignities and discomfort. Don't try to pretend everything's fine.
