I've seen him featured in the news lately, and it's unfavorable terms.

Many Americans seem to blame him for Iraq and Afghanistan.

So what do you think? Has George W Bush become America's past "Pariah President'?

It'd be interesting to hear from those in this forum who are American citizens or live there.

He was blamed for those wars at the time. I think Americans are just being remined about the debacle now that we lost that war.

He was a terrible president. This view is in line with what most Americans believed then and even now. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and we had no reason to invade and destabilize and end up expanding Iran's influence in the region.

It's possible. You tell me if you think we're all terrible people. Let me ask you this. Do you want to be friendly with Americans or do you want to deal with China all on your own someday?

Yeah I didnt vote for Bush.

Really with many Republicans it's just controlled opposition.

Which is funny because the Democrats who slam rino Republicans? You know they dont follow any of what these presidents DO.

Or they would see there hasnt been much difference.

People who think Trump led like a basic rino Republican do not pay attention either.

I'm aware of that. None of you can make it on your own, the World Wars have proven that. Don't be so cocky.

America is late to war. They don't join wars until the last minute. Which some think is a bad thing... I think it's more of a case of woulda, coulda, shoulda. What is the point of having a military sitting around doing nothing getting fat and sloppy?

Best training is on the field not picking your nose on bunk in the barracks.

Australia lost 41 bokes in Afghanistan, Germany over 70 and so on... American weren't alone in Afghanistan.... Oz troops went back 7 times... same blokes.

America has been reluctant to get into wars in the past, especially in the first half of the last century. I realize that Australians, Canadians and Brits have come along with America.

However, answer this question, do you want to be alone if China were to menace Australia? Be honest.

You couldn't have gone into Afghanistan without Australia's SAS in the first place... we have a right to be cocky....

Oh please. We appreciate the boys a great deal, no doubt. America doesn't do shit on its own because of politics, not for lack of capability.

I worry that the American military is spent... you betcha. I do not want America or her alies to spend 1 red cent on aid...the aid goes to their war efforts, NOT THE WOMAN AND CHILDREN. All of it.

I don't think that's what you should worry about. I think what we need to worry about is sending troops to fight wars where they don't know what the mission really is, apparently that was a problem in Afghanistan.

yep!

....so it's you...yer the one ta blame...Lokmeer!

You caused all this! I knew itwas you.

You shoulda seen it comin', Bud. You bein' a religious man, didn't ya read yer Bible?!

That Bush was a buncha trouble before he even opened his mouth....Lokmeer!

Said so here...in yer good book....Lokmeer!

Revelation 13

1 And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.

2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.

3 One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast.

4 Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, "Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?"

5 The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months.

6 He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven.

7 He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.

8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.

9H e who has an ear, let him hear.

10 If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints.

11 Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon.

12 He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed.

13 And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men.

14 Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.

15 He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.

16 He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead,

17 so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.18This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.

That was the same thing in Vietnam... they couldn't tell the difference between a north or south Vietnamese.... what else is news? It isn't a soldiers job to do anything but follow orders. That is the truth and sadly, I've said this before, men LOVE war. It beats hoeing the ground planting carrots and peas, TO THEM. So don't waste an once of compassion... They chose a military career and every single one is a volunteer.

I AM to blame for America going to the ME! I'm actually glad we did and sad we didnt butcher most of the populations. I'm a big fan of Atila The Hun. I became pissed that we rebuilt their societies. When America goes to war, I want orphans and widows left.
