Inflation Canada versus USA

From what I have observed, USA has been hit harder than Canada on a lot of products.

Years ago, we Canadians would go shopping in the USA to save some money. Women would go clothes shopping. Men would buy sports equipment there. Groceries were more affordable. Just about everything was generally cheaper.

Now, Americans are generally paying more than Canadians.

In USA, from what I saw....

Gas is cheaper.

Meat is much more expensive.

Dairy is about the same.

Packaged groceries are much more expensive.

Fresh fruits and vegetables are much more expensive.

Electronics are more expensive.

Clothes are about the same.

I would say weekly food expenses are much higher in the USA. I expect that is why so many Americans are complaining about how hard it is to make ends meet.

Oh, and beer and booze used to be way cheaper.

Now I would say that beer is more expensive in the USA. Liquor varies, but is about the same as Canada.
