He should have been responsible with his gun.
Thousands and thousands of responsible gun owners manage to make sure their firearms are not able to end up in the hands of their children. It's not difficult.
So this guy is a fucking moron.
However gang bangers in Chicago, criminals who have plenty of guns shoot children and toddlers all the time. I would say more innocent people die from gun violence in areas with heavy gun control.

He shoulda taught his kids about guns like I did or keep them away from them. Dont worry, If my kids shoot someone, it wont be me. It'll be some shitstain lib who deserves it.
