He was only 4 years older than me. I would've swore that he was in his 60's.That's terrible. So young.
RIP

Me too. Yeah, it's really sad to see someone you love in the process of dying and you can't help. I watched my grandfather wither away from Alzheimer's. A brilliant and successful man completely annihilated mentally and physically. It's a truly humbling experience. Really makes you think about just how important and fragile life is.Only 4 years younger than I am. I kind of get weirded out when people near my age die.
One of my best friends has a sister in the hospital and her organs are basically shutting down. He's been keeping me apprised of the situation. She probably won't last too much longer. She's a few years older than us. Very sad.

Is this the real reason you're so upset?
Thanks, it was far worse for my father to go through though. Gramp was Superman to him.Alzheimer's is brutal. You lose the person long before they actually pass. My condolences, Alti.

Yeah, it's hard to watch, but depending on one's beliefs the pain is lessened.I saw my dad cry when his grandma died. They were very close.
