I've been riding motorbikes since I was a teenager and yes that was a long time ago.lol

Always rode Jap bikes but in 1992 I bought a new HD FXSTC (softail custom). Man I loved that bike and me and the old lady did a lot of touring across the country and the US of eh'.. We did all ten provinces, the Northwest territories and 23 states. In total we put over 108 thousand km on that bike.:ThumbsUp1:
We made many good memories and meet a lot of good people. Except for Quebec, fuck them french cunts.

Miss that bike. :(

Last Bike I had was one of these I had for most of the summer of 87, had a lot of fun on it...never took it on any extended cruises, just day off rides, just not really a bike guy.....but sometimes on a nice sunny not too hot of a day, sometimes I get the itch.

My very first bike was a 1967 Suzuki x6Hustler 250 two stroke. I bought it used and part of the deal was that the shop would put a new rear tire on it which they did. Only problem is that they never tightened the rear wheel properly.
I took off at a gas station and as soon as I shifted into second gear the chain jumped the sprocket and the back wheel got bound up throwing me off the bike and I ended up breaking my right foot.
Had a cast put on my foot and the wheel fixed and the next day I was riding again. Hey I was 18 years old and ten feet tall or I thought I was.

This isn't the bike I had but it looks just like mine.

In 94 I earned the high miler award in our club with over 30,000 kms rode in one year.

Now you guys need to keep in mind that we are snow bound for almost six months a year so that really cuts into our riding time. That year we rode down to Tombstone Arizona, Hay River NWT, Vancouver Island and all the way to Newfoundland on the east coast. :ThumbsUp1:

This pic always puts a smile on my face. :)

Back then I was still a smokers (quit in 99) and I pulled over to have a smoke. The old lady starts to walk off into the bushes and said she had to pee. Well we were in southern Arizona and I told her to watch out for rattle snakes.
Without missing a beat she spun around on her heels and said she didn't have to pee that bad. Well she held her pee for about 30 minutes until we got to a service station and yes I was laughing all the way. :Excited6:

This is the only pic I have of my Newfoundland trip. Back then I was still using and old film type camera which I kept in my saddle bags. Well the latch to the film compartment opened up and the film was ruined when it was exposed to light. Nowadays all you need is your cell phone. lol

I never was a speed demon and still ain't but one day I rode a buddy's Yamaha FJ1200. Well fuck me that bike would go like a rocket. Went down the highway and had it up to 235km/ph. There was still some throttle left but I was coming up to a bend so I shut it down.
I'm sure some of you rode faster but that was the fastest I ever rode a bike.

That's the Traub motorcycle. It is the only one in existence and on display at Wheel Through Time in Maggie Valley, NC. The story behind it is controversial, but legend has it, it was found behind the wall of a building. If you ever get out there, tell Matt that 'Johnny in Nashville' sent you.
