Will my beloved Celts recover from their Game 4 embarrassment and hang 18?
..or wilt under the hometown pressure, beneath the banners of true greats?

Oh how I miss those teams of the past, of my yute. Those Bill Russell Celts.
Bailey Howell, The Jones', Satch Sanders, Tommy Heinsohn, Don Nelson, Hondo et al
...and then those Bird teams of the 80s.

These guys just don't match up, but they are good even though they have no true leader or HoFers.

It's one against five, baby - 5 to 1.
Can they get together one more time?

Always look at both teams offensive boards and turnovers.

Mavs 1 and 4 - (-)3
Celts 2 and 0 - (+)2

That's 5 extra possessions to Celts.
Mavs - 7 of 20
Celts - 11 of 25 shooting

I godda be honest with you, Mavs fans.

Well, there ya go.
Three quarters in the books from TD Garden.
...not Boston Garden where those beautiful Celtic teams played.
The TD Garden,
...and no one even plays football there.

Sorry, folks - one can not help pining for actual sports.

6+ to go - 21 up
. I'm going to issue congrats to the Celtics.
# 18

Think of this, however...
this team was easily the class of the 2024 NBA.
..yet
they would get swept by the '86 Celts, never a game in doubt.
That's not to mention many other Champs of the era who would have brushed them aside.

btw - the tater and broc was very good.
