It happened on an immigration raid, in another version you hear the crying father say that mom was just going to work, most likely not knowing what to tell the child, she'll be home late. Kid asks, do you promise? Dad says I can't make you that promise.

Did I ever mention that you are stupider than any union member, ever, anywhere?
I was a union rep for a decade for the California Federation of Teachers in SoCal. SEIU was always very, very active and very well organized and their actions sometimes intersected with ours. I always admired them and wished our union could be more like theirs. They are an effective and admirable organization. I cannot believe they arrested the president.
