Governor Abbot clearly states that the new law provides 6 weeks for a woman to get an abortion in the state of Texas. That's 6 weeks after missing her first period but not necessarily six weeks after actual conception occurred. Therefore, clearly, you could have up to 9 weeks or so to get an abortion if you are raped depending on where you happen to be in your cycle.
so basically these fuckwads try desperately to conflate and omit and pull the governor out of context to focus solely on where he said a priority would be to eliminate rape from Texas. If you fuckers understood basic English and could grasp context you'd know exactly what's being said here
Besides, what woman doesn't do one of the following immediately after being raped?
a) Have herself examined by a physician
b) take a morning after pill just in case (I'm quite certain victim services in any competent law enforcement agency has access to them)
c) get herself tested for STDs and of course, an unwanted pregnancy
d) take at home pregnancy tests consistently just to be sure
