Grandson working on math - fine. less than a month into second grade.
Reading had a lesson on being kind. He read a story. He was able to answer the straightforward quiz questions about being helpful, making friends, etc. I have him next to me and let him try on his own while I watch. Finally, he gets frustrated and we do it together. I find the confusion for this small child.
Final question: What are the effects of being kind?

Last night he was playing another game, he was losing. He looks up in frustration and says "This is unacceptable" (to our amusement). He understands most everything he's taught, but if he hasn't learned the term "effects". I'm assuming most early 2nd graders haven't learned that term yet.
This is a trial run, I may not continue this subscription after this experience.
