Listening to that versus today's version of the emo eclectic genre is a confusing endeavor. That sounds like some club music beats, combined with some techno, and finished off with a heavy emotional lick regarding feelings. That sounds nothing like today's versions. Hell, one also could say Depeche' Mode is emo.
To me me Greenday was alot more emo than punk, and I mean when I listen to Fallout Boy who are labeled funny enough as rock, I get the emo behind the lyrics. One thing about this kind of music is that there's always someone whining...i..e..Avril Lavigne.
