....not quite the Super Bowl, but it's Canada's version of it:

...at least it's affordable with tickets starting at $150 US

Are you going Senile @Joe?

I'm interested in going @The Prowler.

It's not quite the Superbowl in the States where tickets are starting. at $10,000 for the crappiest end zone seats.

You can get some decent seats for under $500.

GC may be small time by comparison, but it's Canadian....eh?

Since it might not sell out, there's usually scalpers or 3rd party ticket centers that reduce the prices before the game starts. So I'll try my luck on the day of the game.

I've noticed that when the GC came to Vancouver before, it had a small town community atmosphere to it.

Kinda folksy low key laid back. Not high pressure & unreal like the SuperBowl.

I remember the Hamilton Ti Cats were in town & their cheerleaders.

Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!

They weren't glamgirl SuperModel types, but just plain looking working class girls from Hamilton who looked like they did cheerleading as a side hustle or job. More like they were recruited from a high school.

Some werent' even that good looking at all, but at least they looked like normal average people.

I kinda like that actually, that they were real Canadians more like someone's neighbours as opposed to a media creation.

Yeah I'd like to go if I can.

Grey Cup isn't the big deal when I was a Kid, but it's still there & I'd like to see it Live at least once in my lifetime.

We need events like it to keep the country together....eh?

Kinda creepy how you talk about the cheerleaders....BTW.

Why?

I just remember them in Black and Yellow Ti-Cat uniforms & how rather plain they looked.

Their uniforms looked kinda cheap and shabby.

Something ya'd see in a High School Cheerleading squad.

Done on a budget.

And yet...that kinda added to the charm of the spectacle.

...that a major sporting event didn't need Million$ of Dollar$ to make it work.

Plus Hamilton came to 'the Big City' and I believe won that one.

Kinda from yer neck of the woods & representing small town Ontario @The Prowler

...which proves that the Underdog & the underfunded could win.

It's actually better than the States where it's always Big Money that buys the best players and usually wins all the time.

BTW, I never went to that game.

But I suppose I remember the cheerleaders because they were in some GC Parade that was going down the streets of Vancouver. I remember them on the side of the street cheering on the ti-cats.

I don't remember much more than that. That was like - 25 years ago?

Hamilton has a population in excess of 570,000 people. That is hardly a "small town", you retard.

Google it. There are a lot of devices that do it...they take a composite or s-video signal and convert it to USB....there are probably firewire options too...but USB 3 is fast enough.

So you will still need the player.

Or you can just support your local small business owner and take your tapes to them.

Im sorry you couldnt go Lex @The Prowler

I know you would like to have gone so I went in your place instead

Going to the Grey Cup has never been something that would interest me. I watch it on TV just like I watch the Super Bowl. But that is the level of my interest.

Who did you go with, Senile @Joe?

Any report on the cheerleaders?
