The Ben-Gurion canal

Always follow the money. The Israelis want this canal for trade and especially the movement of oil. The Suez Canal is under the control of Arabs (Egyptians). The Ben Gurion canal would circumvent a canal that is under Arab control. The only problem is, well, Gaza.
