@Joe has shown an interest in my personal life. I would like to know more about @Joe.
So I propose that we share a little bit about ourselves. We can each share about something in our lives, and the other person can share about the same subject.
I will go first:
I am married. We got married in late September 2001. Just weeks after 9/11. People were all kind of down for the few weeks leading up to our wedding, but the wedding day was wonderful. We rented a large hall in a German club and had the wedding there at 4pm and people just stayed around for the reception and dinner. We did not want people to have a long wait between the wedding and the dinner. After the ceremony we did some outdoor pictures while the rest of the guests had snacks and drinks inside. Then we had the dinner at about 6pm. We had "country style" dinner where all the food is just brought to each table and people help themselves. We had turkey and schnitzel for the meats. My wife loves turkey. And this German club is famous for its schnitzel. And we had stuffing, mashed potatoe, cranberry sauce, mixed veggies, and sauerkraut. Soup, salad, and buns too. The buns were from this German bakery in town. They are so good. It was a great meal. Then some good speeches and then a party that went to about 2 am. Open bar. About 150 guests. People let loose and had a great time. The dance floor was always packed.
