Once again I am confused. Recently the taco guy refused to send Fema to help several states who needed help from recent hurricanes and from hurricanes that happened at the end of Biden's term. He had promised to get all of this cleaned up and fixed as soon as he was elected. Along the way California suffered serious fires, and he did not send troops in to help with the fire damage and control. As i recall both Mexico and Canada, sent firefighters in to help with these fires.
Now all of a sudden, he is sending national guard and marines in to help with neighborhood protests in California, which the governor has not only not requested, but is against.
What started these neighborhood protests? I have discovered that there were several groups of men standing outside home depot and other places, waiting for day work in the area. This is common. They were not causing any trouble and they were being sent out to help with not only home projects from people who bought supplies from home depot, but they were also being sent out to continue to help clean up and restore areas that had been hit hard by the California fires, that the current administration did not seem to think merited federal help. The taco seemed to be very resolute around a traditional Republican stance, which is that the states need to take care of themselves, which is why he didn't send FEMA resources in to the red states who requested it after the hurricane damage, and he didn't send help in to fight the California fires.
I was not confused yet, at this point, because I could see that these policies, while different from mine, followed some kind of traditional precedence, which was to let the states stand on their own.
Moving on, my confusion came. Around the corner from the home depot came a group of men dressed in black with masks, trying to scoop up and arrest the neighborhood men who were trying to sign up for day work. The men ran. They were scared. These men were not criminals and the group of masked men had no warrants and no specific names. But merely a quota to get three thousand people arrested every day to deport. I recall that the taco had said that they were going to arrest the criminals and gang members first, and they were not going to bother hard-working people on their deportation agenda. Neighbors and friends of these men heard about this. And began to stand on the street corners in protest with signs. There was no violence and protesting is part of our constitutional rights in this country. As soon as the crowd began to grow, the taco sent federal troops in the form of national guard and marines. To protect the community.
My confusion is, who is going to protect them from the masked ice men and the troops? It is against the law to have military force used against our citizens. With the arrival of National Guard and the military, he seems to have made the citizens more scared, and it appears that the taco is using this fear to make it look like there is need for troops to be there. I think by bringing in troops, he is creating more fear, and is making things worse. That's an opportunity to bring about martial law, which was not at all necessary in the first place. What do you all think?
