What AI is predicting is based upon what Trump has said so far.
However he might not carry out all his threats. And he may lower hos proposed tarrifs for favored trading partners like Canada. It could be that he is using them as a negotiating ploy & may pull back on at least some of them.
In which case AI would predict a completely different outcome based upon different proposals made by Trump.
I don't care much for Trump. However I also see in him that he is a pragmatist being a businessman. And of course businessmen change their minds all the time until the final deal us struck.
Essentially I think Trump is playing Art of the Deal - on a much larger scale. But if he gets it wrong....well you know the rest @Courier Six

Ontario Threatens to Cut Off U.S. Energy Exports If Trump Makes Good on Tariff Plan
’s most populous province has no plans to go gentle into that good night if follows through on his threat to impose massive tariffs on Canadian goods.Ontario Premier Doug Ford said his province was putting together a list of retaliatory measures and would go so far as to cut off energy exports to the U.S. if President-elect Trump slaps Canadian products with a 25 percent tax as promised, the AP .
“We will use every tool in our tool box to fight back,” Ford said Wednesday after a call with Prime Minister and other provincial premiers. “We can’t sit back and roll over. We just won’t as a country. And isn’t this a shame, our closest friends and allies.”
As a major exporter of electricity to Michigan, Minnesota and New York, Ontario powered 1.5 million U.S. homes last year, a spokeswoman for Ford told the AP. Trump’s transition team didn’t respond to the news agency’s request for comment.
It wasn’t clear if other provinces planned to follow Ontario’s lead, but the idea was discussed on the call, the spokeswoman said. About 60 percent of U.S. crude oil imports and 85 percent of electricity imports come from Canada.
Trump has to levy a 25 percent tax on products from Mexico and Canada unless the two countries stop illegal drugs from entering the U.S. and prevent illegal border crossings.
Canada has agreed to ramp up border control efforts, but Ford said he thought the tariffs—which are paid by American companies, with the added costs passed on to consumers—were unavoidable.
Experts gas prices in the Midwest will jump by 30 cents per gallon if the tariffs do indeed take effect. Trump has promised to increase domestic drilling to keep gas prices down, but the U.S. the same type of oil that it produces.

Interestingly....Premier Doug Ford is a Consersative.
And he's sometimes been criticized by residents of his province for being too 'Right-Wing'
Yet he was in favor of masking mandates during the pandemic & Ontario had the most severe lockdowns in Canada.

Trump Self-destructs because he knows absolutely nothing about Tariffs!!!
The tariffs are paid by the importer, not the exporter. There's no way he can "tax" another country.

...although that isn't the whole story since the boost in price once imported makes the items less marketable, which is why importers have been loading up on them pre-tariff. Less imports does hurt the exporting country's businesses, but ultimately it's the consumer who suffers the financial burden here. I doubt than people like Trump or Musk care - it's more about personal tough guy battles with the little people being incidental collateral damage.
