From what I've read on movements like this they revolt eventually when they realize the shits fucked and people are too miserable to prioritize partisanship

That's the problem. They are all still too comfortable and dont have to feel the pain yet. Seeing it hit and harm others isnt enough because they dont have the empathy required to care about that. They pretend to care as a politcal emotional blackmail tactic. Just to use people to smear other parties.

They wont admit this though and they wont admit the shit they pushed for and support is garbage and harming people. It has to start directly harming them and THEN they change.

So unfortunately it's going to get worse and worse until it's even harder to get our rights back and repair the economy. If we even have rights at all when this is over.....considering so many pampered first worlders dont understand what rights even are and they are too proud to learn shit.

but then with the same breath they'll tell you that you need to be willing to sacrifice your sons and daughters half a world away to combat something that doesn't affect you personally either

And when shown this discrepancy, they'll tell you it's nuanced because eventually Big bad Putin will take over enough countries that it WILL affect you... and yeah, if left unchecked on other sides of the country it's only a matter of time before those drags will be teaching my grandkids about how to lube up an asshole in lieu of reading and math.
