...at which the majority of Americans will revolt against Trump's political, social & economic policies?
Has Trump gone too far, too fast?
The point at which I believe this could happen is if Trump destroys Americans' retirement or 401k plans. Because the pain he is inflicting wont be felt just by the poor, but his core supporters as well.
A 20,30 or even 40% decline in their retirement savings could be swallowed but at 50% there could be unrest. 60,70,80% could spark a revolt & a huge split in the Republican party.
Americans by and large are a very conservative lot. But once you start trashing their retirement plans, suddenly they vote for their pocketbooks not their political stripe. Then the choice becomes the party which can provide them with economic security.
Any thoughts on this? Since I don't live in the US, not sure what the mood is like there right now.
