It said in that video that in the USA only 10% of transactions will be with real cash by 2030. I would think that it is much less than 10% already in Canada. But I am not really sure.
I have used credit cards almost exclusively for decades. I get rewards from 1% to 3% on every transaction. I only use cash for simple transactions like when I sell a coffee maker to a hobo. Or when someone pays me $20 to sit in my Corvette.
I probably have less than $3000 in real cash on hand right now. My on hand cash fluctuates somewhere between $1000 and $5000.
