A fundraiser for Mangione, who is currently in custody, has raised over $45,000, but his attorney is not sure he'll accept the funds.
At a press conference Tuesday, Mangione's lawyer Thomas Dickey said "I don't know," when asked if he would accept public donations from individuals seeking to fund his client's defense.

I feel some empathy for his feelings on the Healthcare system in this country-100% actually.
I cannot support murderers though.
My profession and my values are in conflict with his actions.
I do hope that he has the legal representation that every American deserves. I'm thinking his wealthy family will make sure he does. He already has an attorney and he's not a public defender.

I don't believe in murder or violence, either. But like the US revolution, the French Revolution, and other conflicts in history, at times violence seems to be the only way to get anything done. Clearly, the murder finally forced the MSM to actually discuss the heinous and violent -- yes violent -- US healthcare system. It's draconian and needs to be gone.

Also, I don't know how much you've read about him, but like many young men these days he's been all over the map.

We have MLK day, but there is zero recognition for Malcom X.
It’s terrible what is going on over there. The Palestinians have been on that land for 500,000+ years and the conflict with the Jews started in 1917. The Nation of Israel could have been established anywhere after WWII when the masses fled Nazi Germany. We could have given them land here tbh.

After Malcom X, and his militant stance, MLK Jr didn't seem as threatening. He also remained Christian and wasn't Muslim. Much easier and safer for the powers that be to promote as an ideal Black activist.
As for the Palestinian problem. It wouldn't have been a problem at all if it weren't for European anti-Semitism to begin with.
