For starters… the fire most likely started in the canyon behind the home located at 1190 North Piedra Morada Drive where the first backyard fire was reported in the Pacific Palisades. There is nothing behind that home, which is on a culdesac perched on top of a hill, or the canyon that drops off behind it and goes for miles. It’s not an area easily accessible to people who do not live there for that reason. Especially from the canyon to the rear of the property.

The fire was reported in a backyard on Tuesday at 10:30 am when most people are not home or have fire pits or bbq’s running. There were no thunderstorms, just wild CRAZY winds that we haven’t seen since 2011. The yards are perfectly manicured with sprinklers installed on every property. The trees were all green and lush based on areal photos I’ve seen on Google.

So how did this start??? Why was the reservoir empty since Feb 2024? The refurbish project had already been funded and it was only the cover that had issue. You don’t need clean drinking water to fight a fire. They could and should have kept it filled.

But that still doesn’t answer HOW a fire started.

As I already explained, Murdy, the devastation was exacerbated by years of inept mismanagement. It does appear that there may have been a deliberate element of arson going on here as well. Hopefully we'll find out.

In the meantime, spit on Democrats because they caused all this.

If the budget for CalFire hadn't been cut, by Democrats, and if proper land management practices and controlled clearances and burns hadn't been stopped years ago by Sierra Club Liberal Democrats, AND if the Democrats in charge of LA today had properly managed the water reservoirs instead of engaging in empty DEI virtue signaling, much of the devastation wrought by these fires would have been mitigated.
