I know MAGAts can't see facts. They have fact blindness. But I'll put this here anyway.

“There’s no question, extreme weather, record high temperatures and dry conditions caused by climate change intensified this year’s wildfire crisis,” Jonathan Boucher, a Canadian Forest Services scientist, told

Gee! If only we had a Carbon Tax and collected $87 Trilllion dollars to spend on "Green Initiatives." This never would have happened.
If you paid even the slightest attention to the content of my posts, you would have no reason to believe I support a carbon tax as a solution. Dingbat.

I wonder if these fires were or are started by people.

Could be as simple as a camp fire getting out of control or the flick of a cigarette butt on the forest.

The start could well be a simple human error, but the volatility is becoming worse in several ways more rapidly than most people realize. Forest fires in Canada in may. Is that the typical way?

There was a heat wave that came much sooner than expected in Central Canada. Usually the snow stays on the ground til May. So they probably need that snow cover to remain longer than abruptly melting too soon.

One or two of these can and have always happened randomly in history, but the pace of events is accelerating weather patterns are changing.

Oregon also has a growing fire of some 2000 acres last I checked hours ago, also early on the longer term averages
