A Donair sounds like a gyro that some guy blanded-down to appeal to his Canadian clientele.

It is not bland at all. Full of flavour.

If you were to compare, tzatziki would be closer to "bland" than donair sauce.

The meat can be spiced however you like, but my wife uses a good amount of cayenne pepper, so hers is quite spicy.

I imagine that stuff that @Alticus bought might be lacking flavour...but that is to be expected with pre-made meals with a lot of preservatives.

I'd try a fresh one, not something in a frozen bag. I did like poutine last time I was up there.
