China has been eating away at US influence in Latin America & this invasion was America's way to get it back.

Not to mention the US National debt is $38 trillion. So they had to find a way to stabilize it. Invading Venezuela was the solution.

Actually from a political and Economic pov, Trump's invasion/gamble might possibly turn out to be a brilliant move @Dove because it could maintain American dominance for the remainder of the 21st century.

Your President wanted another American century. Well the invasion of Venezuela might allow it to continue.

Mind you, your country will pay a huge political price as well. Loss of moral prestige, global presence & a greater alignment with less savory political leaders and nations.
