In all seriousness, and I've posted this on countless forums including relationship boards, it seems like just about everyone posts about their ex- quite often the person they married and spent multiple decades with, as a narcissist. I often point out that they didn't seem aware of any of these personality characteristics when they met, and decided to spend what was supposed to be the rest of their lives together. Then when things suddenly go south that person is the worst person in the world and is labeled "narcissist" and I have no doubt that person is saying the same thing about THEIR ex.

Unless a person has a degree in psychology or they've got a confirmed diagnosis from an appropriately trained, licensed and competent therapist who has counseled the patient personally, diagnosing someone with this disorder is difficult if not impossible.
