Regtardo, that was after the shutdown when oil companies deliberately dragged their feet on upping production then Putin, Trump's butt buddy, invaded Ukraine just when inflation (caused by Trump's mismanagement of Covid) was being arrested. You could look it up.
PS: This high gasoline prices and inflation is all due to Trump's fuckups.
Lest we forget that Trump also pressured Russia and the Saudis to lower oil production in order to prop up his shale oil buddies. Less oil produced prices increase, supply and demand. The higher the oil prices, the more profitable expensive shale oil production becomes.

Americans used to pay 30% less per gallon but have caught up to Canada. so i imagine the average American consumer is or will really feel it cuz they had it so good for so long.

You're right, @Joe. And I don't really object to them, at all. It's why everyone in Europe drives a manual car. But I am just sick of hearing Americans complaining about gas prices. They pay less than everyone else in the world. Trump is a tool, and the price of everything has gone up under him, contrary to his promises, and anyone who votes for him is evil.
