Here are a few of my favorite socialist things:
public education
public roads
state and national parks
libraries
bridges
maintenance of waterways
social security
medicare
congress
POTUS
SCOTUS
sidewalks
city halls
military
police
fire fighters
USPS
power grid
And would you say those are all ran efficiently?
Also you have to consider which of those are State run, like roads and public education, police, fire, et.
Do you really think the federal government should take all that over? How does what you guys want work in reality? I'm asking honestly.
Like Medicare for all. Does the federal government just squash the state medical programs and what? What happens when we run out of money for that? Do we just do what the other socialized health countries do and treat the ones most likely to survive and leave the others?
The problem is when people ask about the plethora of shit that will go wrong with progressive policies, the one being asked automatically starts calling people stupid, heartless, and the concerns get called right wing talking points.
I think people are within their rights being concerned considering how deeply these policies will impact their lives directly. And the ACA proved that when policies are hurting people, the ones supporting them will not care one bit. They wont even listen.
If you were charged a fine and driven into the poor house because of the ACA, or your medical care was severely compromised.....you do not matter to the ones who want the ACA.
I think if progressives and leftists were willing to listen, care and compromise and work towards things that actually helped and benefited people, we wouldnt be in this position. As long as all progs see is meany racist righties in every single opposition, I really dont see any possibility of unity.
Also if you guys havent noticed, all the corporate elitests and wealthy people are on your side of this circus.....I'm not sure how that goes unnoticed. They've all been anti Trump shilling for 4 years. That should kinda tell you something.
