MLK wanted peace and for race to not be a focus. He wanted people to be judged by the content of their character.

All that's happening is we are going backwards.....way backwards. And dehumanizing people. And ripping the fabric of our country and feeding divisiveness.

I still cannot believe that callous violence and destruction that occured all summer and how no one really cares. They just want to feel virtuous, but none of them care about the innocent people who were murdered, beaten or had their whole lives destroyed.

They care about feeling like "anti racist heros".

It's really made me more disgusted of our country. People are so self centered and self serving....especailly when they are claiming to be doing it for others.

I recently had a friend....someone I've known for years, just up and turn on me because of this mentality.

Too many people just do not want to learn or widen their perspective on anything. They want you to do the learning and change yourself or your view and if you dont....it makes you bad and wrong.

They just cannot get out of that boxy thinking.

And the divisive and demonizing rhetoric do not help. Its bringing out such hatefulness, cruelty and callousness in people.
