Its a fact that democRATs banned assault rifles once in the 90's and its also a fact that democRATs tried to get snub nose revolvers banned in the 80's. Its also a fact that they did ban snubbies in NY State back then.
Lok, they're going to tax assault rifles much like they did/do with automatic weapons. Easiest way to do it. Doubtful confiscation will ever come about. Snubbs aren't the best choice anyway, unless you're up to no good. Since I'm not a gun culture guy to begin with, I'm not worried.
Honestly, the most fun I ever had shooting was with black powder. Except for the clean-up.

Thats simply an intellectually dishonest argument. A 30 round mag for just about anything is $35. He plans on taxing each at $200 a piece, even if you already own it. If you cant pay the tax, the gubmint will buy back for pennies on the dollar. Same thing with the weapons themselves. If you own any semi auto that COULD accept a mag of +10, it would have to be registered and taxed at $200. Hell, I may have paid $300 for my 10/22.
Snubbies are no different than concealed carry guns. In fact, most snubbie revolvers hold fewer rounds and arent as easily concealed. However, they are much easier for people with physical difficulties to operate.
The honest answer is this is all confiscation through taxation. Thankfully, I bought about 100, 30 round mags over the last few years and paid cash. About 90 of them are still in the wrappers. Same goes for 80% lower receivers. The only think I'll be forced to do is hand over my serialized lower and then as long as I dont complete the machining on the 80% lowers, no harm, no foul! :rightON:
This confiscation through taxation sounds appealing to people like you and I'd like to think that maybe there'd be a point where say your gas powered car would be taxed at 100% its value every year until you forfeit it or sell it to the government but I'd sooner guess you'd be ok with that as well.
