They turned it into a sterile, clean, commercailized celebration of PC culture.
They had a male to female trans play Frankenfurter. It was soooooo fucking bad. I couldnt even get through the first 20 minutes. I caught my daughters watching it and they were giggling....I shut that shit off quick and tossed them the real one lol.
It's so bad you can only find scenes in side by side with the original.....probably to cushion the blow lol

Gender roles were different back then, Dovey.
Girls were expected to be somehwat submissive, guys were supposed to be tough and have a bit of an edge & act like men.
Now all society wants is for men to be boys or half men.
Somehow caint imagine that a couple like John Travolta or Olivia New John could exist anymore in today's world.

My grandma was a Detroit native. She remembers when the big 3 were booming. And she remembers the 12th riots that killed the city. She remembered when Motown was big. She had really cool stories about Detroit from the past.
She made parts during WW2 as well.

I have a really cool old black and white photo of my grandfather standing on a street corner in Detroit back in the 50s.
My older daughters want to recreate it and stand where he was standing for a 2021 version. I love the idea. Unfortunately I have to replace my camera first.
If I find the pic of my grandfather I'll post it. I have a lot of my stuff like that still packed up until I'm done renovating.
