BROOKHAVEN, Ga. (AP) — A stray bullet struck and killed an English astrophysicist while he was inside an Atlanta-area apartment, authorities say.

Matthew Willson, 31, of Chertsey, Surrey, England, was visiting his girlfriend in the United States when he was hit by a bullet that pierced the wall of the apartment. The shooting happened early Sunday morning, only three days into his visit.

“He was supposed to be here for three months because we’ve been long distance for a while,” Katherine Shepard, his girlfriend of three years,

We keep pointing this out. That the whole country would just be like Chicago where no law abiding citizens have guns but all the criminals do.

They dont really address that. And also no one addresses points about any shootings that would have helped prevent them. Like the school shooting in Oxford. That kid had the gun illegally and there were tons and tons of warning signs that were ignored.

They dont wanna discuss any of it honestly or any solutions outside of infringing on law abiding citizens gun rights.

A lot of the problem is the morally loose culture we created. Disregard of human life and glorification of violence. People who called this kind of thing decades ago were right.

"Suing the NRA" is a tort action under civil law. It's not a criminal matter involving statute law, which typically would require the goobermint to be a party to the suit.

Both kinds of actions still rely on "the law."
